Awards
Awards are given typically to students who go above and beyond what was required from them in the class. For Advanced Divination, students can receive the following awards:
Other Things You Need to Know
Turning things in
All assignment and lessons will be left up for the entire term. Do not turn in your homework before the term begins (September 1st). I know you want to get a head start, and that is perfectly acceptable, but as a longtime HOL student I know it’s best for everyone to keep this rule. If you send it in before the term begins, it will not be graded. All assignments are due on the last day of the term at midnight HOL Time. However, I encourage you to send homework in as you complete it after February 1st. Do not wait until the last day of term to complete your homework!
When you're ready to turn homework in, please send all work to [email protected]. Remember that attachments will not be accepted!
Passing the Class and Earning a Quill
In order to earn a quill and pass Advanced Divination, you must earn at least 180 points. It is up to you how you do that. This means you must complete at least 6 of the opportunities for the class (any combination of homework, extra credit, project, and final) in order to receive at least 180 points. This is an advanced class, which is why the point amount is so high! Please pace yourself accordingly to make sure you get at least 6 assignments in! Also note that you may have to complete seven assignments, depending on how well you do on the first six, in order to pass.
Class Forum
Information and updates on assignments, extra credit, introductions, and all sorts of other things can be found in the class forum here!
Late Assignments
Because all assignments are not due until the end of term, there will NOT be any extensions. Late assignments will not be accepted! Please make sure you get in your work before the due date. I will be less lenient than in the past because you have several months to complete all assignments. As stated above, please do not wait until the last day; it is very difficult to get homework done on time if you do!
Questions? Comments?
If you have any questions or comments about the class, please send me a message through the HOL site, (I check it most often!) whether it is an Owl/PM/Message. You can also check the Class forum in the HOL Forum to post questions. I will respond as soon as I can.
