Extra Credit One
Lesson One EC is due by or on June 15th, at 11:59pm HOL time. In order to submit, please send your answers to [email protected] with the Subject “Advanced Divination - EC1- (HOL ID)”. At the very top of the body of your email (so above your answers), please put your HOL name, HOL ID, and house. For example, I would put “Advanced Divination - EC1 - pr_hai″ as the subject, and would begin the body of my email with “Hailey Potter, pr_hai, Gryffindor”.
Please do NOT send your homework as an attachment. It will not be accepted if sent in this way!
There are two parts to this month's Extra Credit.
Part One (Worth 5 points)
Introduction: Introduce yourself to the class HERE! Tell us who you are, what classes you're taking, and why you are taking advanced divination.
Part Two (Worth 25 points)
Option One: Opinion
During this lesson, we covered two methods of divination: tessomancy and xylomancy. What are your opinions on each type of method? Would you, too, have made fun of tessomancy during the lesson with Professor Trelawney? Do you think one is better than the other? Tell me! In order to receive the full 25 points, you must write at least 250 words.
Option Two: Tea Leave Symbols
The most important part of reading tea leaves is knowing how to read them! What I'd like for you to do is give it a try. Either make yourself a cup of tea and attempt to read the images, or create your own by drawing them or creating your own symbols by graphic! I would like 5 examples for the full 25 points (5 points per cup) showing the image of the tea leaves at the bottom of a cup, the symbol you see, and what that means. You can use one cup twice if you see two different symbols in it! You can look them up and take it seriously or make up your own silly meanings; it's really up to you!
